On May 20^th, 2025, the 8 projects involved in the EIC Pathfinder Challenge Portfolio had their second annual meeting hosted at Aarhus University, in Denmark.

Representatives from all the projects attended the meeting together with the Portfolio Manager, Paolo Bondavalli, the project officers  and experts for each sub-group of projects: ‘Thermomechanical and chemical storage’ and ‘Electrochemical storage’.  During the meeting the targets and current achievements of each project were presented, joint activities were revised, and new ideas shared.

The meeting at Aarhus University was concluded by a stimulating technical visit to local labs where several activities were on-going.  ‘MDLES Portfolio’ people met again in the evening for an informal and multi-ethnic dinner at ‘Street Food’ restaurant, where the representatives had the chance to further discuss about their ideas.
