M-TES at the 43rd UIT International Heat Transfer Conference

The M-TES project presented its latest research on thermal energy storage system modelling at the 43rd UIT International Heat Transfer Conference, held at Politecnico di Torino, Italy.
The M-TES project participated in the 43rd UIT International Heat Transfer Conference, organised by the Unione Italiana di Termofluidodinamica (UIT) and hosted by Politecnico di Torino, Italy, from 22 to 24 June 2026.
During the conference, Matteo Sioli, a PhD student involved in the M-TES project at Politecnico di Milano, presented the contribution entitled “Design of an Energy Storage System Using a Bed Made of Metallic Phase Change Material” on behalf of the co-authors. The presentation showcased numerical models developed to simulate the thermal and mechanical behaviour of a thermal energy storage system employing the metallic Phase Change Materials (PCMs) currently being developed within the M-TES project.
The conference also provided an excellent opportunity for Matteo Sioli and fellow researchers Andrea Lucchini and Domenico Mazzeo to exchange knowledge and discuss recent advances with experts working in the field of heat transfer, fostering valuable scientific interactions and feedback for the ongoing research activities.
