M-TES at the EIC Energy Storage Portfolio Meeting 2026 in Graz

M-TES project was at the third EIC Pathfinder Portfolio Annual Meeting on Mid to Long Term and Systems Integrated Energy Storage, this year held at TU Graz, Austria on on 25–26 June 2026. The event brought together the researchers and innovators from the European Energy Storage Portfolio to discuss recent advances, foster collaboration, and explore future opportunities for energy storage technologies.
During the meeting, Paola Bassani presented the latest progress of the project within the session dedicated to thermo-mechanical and chemical energy storage, alongside other EIC Pathfinder projects working on innovative storage solutions.
The two-day event provided a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge with fellow portfolio projects, discussing technological and market challenges, and contributing to joint activities aimed at accelerating the deployment of sustainable energy storage systems in Europe. Special attention was given to techno-economic assessments, regulatory frameworks, and pathways supporting the transition towards a climate-neutral economy.
The M-TES participarion the Grazmeeting, specifically that of the Portfolio Managers Monica Favaro and Paola Bassani attending in-presence, further strengthened the project integration within the European energy storage community and reaffirmed its commitment to developing advanced thermal energy storage materials and technologies for a more sustainable energy future.
